Fix Your Grinder Wheel - $20 Diamond Dresser Tool - 2 Minutes to True, Shape
A grinding wheel dresser is a tool used to maintain the shape and cutting ability of a grinding wheel. As a grinding wheel is used, the abrasive grains wear down and become dull. The wheel can also become loaded up with metal particles, which reduces its effectiveness. A grinding wheel dresser can be used to remove these metal particles and sharpen the abrasive grains.
There are two main types of grinding wheel dressers:
• Wheel dressing sticks: These are hand-held tools that are used to dress the sides of a grinding wheel. They are typically made of silicon carbide or diamond, and they are available in a variety of shapes and size wheel dressing stick tool
• Wheel dressing tools: These are machine-mounted tools that are used to dress the face of a grinding wheel. They are typically more expensive than wheel dressing sticks, but they can be more precise and efficient
Wheel dressing tool
When choosing a grinding wheel dresser, it is important to consider the size and type of grinding wheel that you will be using, as well as the material that you will be grinding. It is also important to follow the safety instructions that are included with the tool.

Paint Rusted Metal, Use Phosphoric Acid & Clean Tacky Surface on Seawall
Переглядів 691Місяць тому
Metal seawalls can be treated for rust using phosphoric acid. Phosphoric acid is a non-flammable, water-soluble liquid that reacts with rust to form a protective layer of iron phosphate. This layer inhibits further corrosion and can help to extend the life of the seawall. To use phosphoric acid to treat rust on a metal seawall, you will need to: Clean the seawall surface to remove any dirt, deb...
Cutter Rotating Circular Nozzle Tip Cleans Patio Moss, Mold, Dirt

A cutter rotating circular nozzle on a pressure power washer produces a circular spray pattern that is much more effective at cleaning than a traditional flat fan nozzle. The spinning water jet hits the surface area from multiple angles, quickly breaking down caked-on dirt and grime. As a result, rotating nozzles can cut cleaning time in half. A power washing using a cutter head rotating nozzle...

    I’m trying to power three separate Lorex video doorbells and a mechanical chime. There’s not enough juice to power more than one doorbell at a time with the 24VAC 40vA transformer I had purchased. Now the challenge is to figure out if u need three separate transformers or not. I had planned to connect my main entry door to the “front” chime terminal and the other two doorbells to the “rear” chime terminal so I know which doors are being pressed audibly when I don’t have my phone on me. Anyone have advice for me on working these three doorbells with plenty of juice to keep them running and to operate with the mechanical chime aswell?

    I have a question I'm wanting to bend a 3" 5' pvc pipe and I capped both ends already is it dangerous for me to use a heat gun just enough for me to Bend it a few inches 😅 I'm thinking not and probably need to jist buy new pipes but hopefully not

    • @MrHardware1

      The increased air pressure on the inside of that pipe when you heat it just may cause that pipe to bubble, as you are trying to bend it. If possible, I would suggest drilling a hole that you could take a sheet metal screw with a rubber washer under the head of it to resealed the pipe after you drilled an escape pole.

      You need to see if the handle has a release slot or hole in the handle. Push in on the dent and pull on the handle at the same time once the handle is off then the rose should be easier to remove. If you’re still having a question see if the manufacturer is stamped in the backseat on the edge of the door and I bet I could answer your question more fully.

    • @MrHardware1
      @MrHardware1 5 днів тому

      Sounds like an inferior drill. Could be the set or a random bad drill. Try a smaller drill next, be careful that they are fragile. Also use slower speed, sometimes fast heats up the drill and removes the temper (hardness) and ruins the drill.

    Here's a couple tips I learned from my DIY repair. 1. My bolt head was so rusted the head broke apart. Vice grips couldn't hold what was left of the bolt head. I used a universal socket and it turned instantly. Much faster than sawing the bolt off. 2. Some videos show a special tool for the large plastic tank drain nut. Waste of money for such a rare repair. I used a rubber belt wrench.

  • @krs6445
    @krs6445 7 днів тому

    The reason you don't need a metal washer inside the tank is because the bolt has a pan head to press down evenly on a rubber washer.

  • @krs6445
    @krs6445 7 днів тому

    I don't understand why it's not recommended to put a rubber washer on the inside AND outside of the tank. My rubber seals inside the tank began to fail. A second washer outside the tank would have prevented this leak.

    • @MrHardware1
      @MrHardware1 5 днів тому

      Not actually, the water needs the flat head of the bolt to seal. The bottom washer will leak water through the threads of the bolt.

    Hi! Thank you for very useful video and great tips - immediate subscription! I tried to do something similar, but something went a bit off, so I’m kindly asking you for an advice: I have a wooden IKEA table. Its top made of several wooden blocks, so it’s not a single sheet of wood. I dyed it using water-based dye, and covered it with the first coat of polyurethane lacquer. The thing is that after applying the first coat I can see that the surface gone patchy - some wooden blocks are glossy and smooth, and some - dull and a bit rough to the touch, where the wood absorbed the lacquer. I was going to use fine sandpaper to even the surface after the first coat of lacquer. But now I’m a bit confused as I don’t know if I could damage the dye layer on the dull patches and expose the wood, as it is obviously very thin. What would you suggest to do in this case? I was going to do at least three coats of lacquer with sanding in between.

    • @MrHardware1
      @MrHardware1 7 днів тому

      I would apply the additional two coats of lacquer before doing any sanding at all. I do not like all the dust and cleanup every time I sand a project plus I prefer to build up a little bit of product to protect my stain before I start sanding. This way, I typically only sand just before my final coat of finish and that way, I sand it very, very well. I dusted very very well and I’m very particular about no one coming around and nothing creating any dust when I put on my last coat. I think you’ll find some of the end grain is more porous than other portions of the wood so your dull and gloss areas are due to absorption not your stain, as far as I can tell from here.

    • @vsemprivet
      @vsemprivet 7 днів тому

      @@MrHardware1 Thanks a lot, this was very helpful! I’ll try to continue tomorrow and we’ll see how it goes )) I think I will still sand it very lightly trying not to damage dyed layer, so the next poly coat holds better. Cheers!

    • @vsemprivet
      @vsemprivet 6 днів тому

      @@MrHardware1 Today I lighly sanded the first coat of poly with 700 grit sandpaper on the block, and fortunately the thickness of the layer allowed me not to damage the stain layer. After that I put on the second layer of poly, this time diluted with mineral spirit at 3 to 1 ratio. It worked very well. So I think I'll continue this routine, as the main danger thankfully is behind.
